Extensive and varied experience, over 30 years, in private legal practice and government work, both State and Federal, including policy advice to business.

Bachelor of Laws (University of Sydney) (1975); 

Master of Laws (University of Sydney) (1984) - State Taxes; Federal Administrative Law; Criminal Justice; Treatise on Self-Incriminating Evidence

Diverse private practice experience as solicitor in mid 1970s in both Sydney and in the country, in small firms, including Kells - now the largest in Wollongong.

Secretary to inter-governmental Solicitor-General's Meetings (1986)

Assistant Secretary, Legal, Research and Conciliation Branch (SES 2 level) of the Federal Human Rights Commission (1987-1988).  

Retained as consultant and solicitor to Human Rights Commission (HREOC) on various matters for many years after moving on from that position to balance work with family commitments.

Since 1988, whilst raising family, consultant, on both legal and policy matters, to government and business, including management of complex commercial litigation and also lengthy mediations for a group of private investment companies. 

Legal representative for clients, both public and private, over the last three decades - including family law, personal injury, industrial law, prosecutions, complex commercial conveyancing, intellectual property, franchises, leases, constitutional law, commission of inquiry, civil litigation, human rights, anti-discrimination cases, contempt of court prosecutions, commercial litigation, corporate law and business etc. 

Currently non-practising solicitor, now specialising in mediation and facilitation, with experience in commercial mediation and dispute resolution.

Married with children, all of whom are now in high school.
